I finally figured out how to refer to my sexual orientation:
my-sexual

I've decided for a while now that it really doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is. Or rather, why should we have to label ourselves? One may be African, or Asian, or European, but we are first human. Isn't color-blindness preferential to affirmative action?
What's the point of labelling onesself as hetero-, homo- or bisexual? True, when one is hit on hit on by the gender they're less often attracted to, the person can spare the other's feelings by saying "sorry, but I'm not attracted to men/women". But in the end, isn't the point that you're not attracted to the person? Wouldn't it be better, to say "sorry, but I'm not attracted to you"?

I am not attracted only to men. I am not attracted only to women. I am not attracted equally to both.
I am attracted to whom I am attracted to.

In my own words, "I am my-sexual".

I don't agree that we should assume that colour blind world would be a good thing. I think it is more important that we simply recognize that the difference that we have are good and interesting things.

In a somewhat unrelated but interesting note, I read an article yesterday about how someone came to terms with his own homosexuality that I particularly liked. It can be found here.

Lol, sorry, I'm a bit off-topic, oh well :)

Do I seem like one to mind off-topic comments? I've had enough off-topic flame wars in my comments that had nothing to do with me, after all. ;)

Tell me what you think :) I found it a really interesting article, using the tale of Narcissus to describe homosexuality as a love for onesself.

I was planning to. :) But I'd like to give it some time and then re-read it so I can put some thought into it.

sweet-pea, thats that bisexual IS. You dont have to like both equaly to be bisexual. I know I dont...in fact Im not sure I know even one bisexual that truly split 50/50. Labels may irratate, but they are there to serve a function, that is, to convy information. If you say your bisexual, then that accuratly conveys that you are at least occasionaly interested in members of either sex, which is what you are, yes? Thats all it means.

And I,for one, would rather someone say they dont dig girls then say that its just me their not attracted to. Not that I advocate lieing, if its just me, and not girls in general, surely they can come up with something better then "its just you". I mean...ouch. Pointless pain.

Another perspective: Almost everyone is at least a little bit bisexual, even if they never realize it or act on it. That is, almost everyone has found themselves attracted to at least one man and one woman at least once in their life. Given the impact of anti-gay bigotry, most people would tend to unconsciously suppress that attraction, or in any case never admit it out loud, to avoid the bigotry.
