So, Expanding Horizons doesn't want to move me (which isn't unusual for the company losing a client), and the Integrity Living Options (the new company) doesn't want to move me, leaving us with the only option of having my social worker move me in her small SUV. Even if I had the money to pay for a U-Haul (or any vehicle larger than her SUV), she wouldn't be allowed to drive it. I don't know how the fuck this move is going to happen now...
Well, I'm home. I mean, I've been home for close to a week now, but my room is slowly getting closer to being set up, and I have nearly full functionality of my computer back. (One of the speakers (which one it is varies according to how I plug things in) and most of my DVD players aren't functioning.) But hey, I'm happy. :)
Had whole-grain penne with olive pasta sauce for dinner. As soon as I post this I'm going to be doing some English work since it's due at midnight. Busy busy busy.

13.5 hours after my original check-out appointment, a little over 4.5 hours after my second check-out appointment, and 4 hours after the check-out deadline, I'm checked out. Katie's room is full of my crap, but I'm checked out.
And now I go up to her room to sleep.
Man, I'm not looking forward to cleaning my room this weekend.

check-out time moved to 7:20
May. 31st, 2006 09:51 amAlex (
dragoondefender) came to check me out, but I was very not ready. Then I went downstairs to drop off my non-perishables, and there was another checkout list, and I signed up for a 7:20-7:40 slot. Unfortunately, Alex says I'm going to be charged $50 for missing my appointment. Blargh...
So, now I continue to pack until Katie gets back from class, when I'll move stuff to her room and start cleaning the apartment.
I wonder if I should go to physics now that I have some more time? :-/
Nah, my only reason for going is to get in the habit, and this is far more important. Plus, it's an hour I won't be able to work on homework tonight.
Oh yeah, my icon-age dropped to 38. Oh well, at least it's better than 6.

Moving Home and Shanghai Rose Bath
May. 30th, 2006 11:51 pmWell, I took the first half of my belongings home this evening.
idkrash gave me a ride to my parents' and then back to the dorm, and in exchange I bought him DQ and we sat on his tailgate eating and chatting. He also was a big help carrying things around.
I'm going to be keeping my stuff at Katie's instead of Tori's, mainly because her room is two (three? I'm too lazy to check) from mine so it'll be easier to move. Tori has class from 11-1 tomorrow, then work until 5, so the only chance I'll really have to see her before I leave will be between the time she gets off or my dad and I arrive here, whichever is later, and when my dad and I go home. During that time Tori said she'd help, which is really nice of her.
Right now I'm just sitting here listening to The Current and drinking Shanghai Rose (a white tea with rose petals - must get me some!) while Katie's taking a shower. I'm gonna go back to my room and get to work by midnight, I think.
So much left to do... And unless I really can manage to pull off an all-nighter, which I don't really want to anyway, I might just have to skip physics again tomorrow.
Oh, fark, I just realized that my method and prediction questions are due at 5 tomorrow, and dad wants me home by the time he gets home from work, so either the two of us need to get to the U by 5 or I have to have the questions done and turned in... Early. I wonder if I'll have time to go to the study orientation tomorrow.
To be honest, I'm not sure if I'll really be able to do the study. There's a 50% chance I'll have to exercise at a training center for a half hour five times a week, and between school and the multiple part time jobs and having to South Minneapolis to make meals and sleep... So if I can't go to the orientation session, it may be just as well.
I'm too tired to write any more and Katie keeps distracting me by talking to me, so I'm gonna go now.

things are lined up
May. 30th, 2006 06:23 pmDad's right. I really have under-estimated the time it takes to pack.
Plans are pretty much made, though. I won't have everything ready by the time Rick gets here, but Tori said I could leave some stuff in her room until my dad can help me pick it up, which turns out to be tomorrow evening, so I'll be intruding on her space for less than 12 hours. I'm not going to be getting much sleep tonight, though, with all the packing/cleaning/physics lab-ing I'll be doing. By midnight tomorrow, I'll be living once again at 3430.
I'm thinking of holding a garage sale this weekend or the next. Time to get my 27-Fling Boogie on!

guess what I'm gonna be doing today?
May. 27th, 2006 09:50 amOh great... Tara's moving out tomorrow, and apparently since it's so close to the deadline she is (i.e., we are) responsible for having the common areas CLEAN. I mean, I did want to get a head start on everything, but I thought I'd have longer than that... Blech - I guess there's no studying or exercising to be going on today. ><;
getting off my lazy but RBC-wise
May. 26th, 2006 02:45 pmI filled out my RCR (Riverbend Condition Report), brought down my vacuum, and signed out for a check-out time (10:30 am on Wednesday, with a note to e-mail me if a later spot opens up).
Got some more pens as my current ones are running low, as well as a new pencil case as I seem to have lost my old one.
Now back to academics.
