girl's pissed off
girl finds out guy broke up with girlfriend already
guy and girl start going out
guy and girl fall in love and get pregnant
guy and girl get engaged
girl miscarries
guy finds out he has cancer and acts like an ass to girl so she'll forget him
three years later girl's engaged again and finds out guy had cancer this whole time and that's why he broke up with her
girl breaks up with fiancee and goes to visit guy in hospital
girl and guy spend time together, eventually decide to get married
so they do so in the snow with a curtain over her head
doctor tells guy he should go home and enjoy the remainder of his life, but he decides to keep fighting for girl's sake
and that's where we are
and this sort of stuff chokes me up, because i'm lame like that
^^;

so, yeah, looking at the episode preview he's totally going to die
To the Hiro who said "If I die I'll become the sky and always, always look after you, Mika", Mika promises "When I look at the sky I'll remember you, Hiro"
there's no way he won't die with a scene like that
