You know, the episode Children of Time forgets two things:
1) They were trying to split the Defiant into two so that they could go back home without changing the timeline. Are they forgetting that the Defiant and crew that stays marooned on the planet would be just as marooned as everyone would be if the plan did work?
2) They keep mentioning the 8000 lives that will be erased if they don't stay on the planet. What about the 8000 who won't be born if they do? Those lives are no less valid.
This episode has brought me minor uckiness, but I'm doing well these days so it's not bad at all.
