Basic Account Bath

tsukikageThe one thing about going back to a basic (or any lower-level account) that's always annoying is not getting to pick what icons I keep.
In addition to my default, I've been left with:
- Azumanga - Easily Amused
- Fafner - lol dinnertime
- Fafner - あなたはそこにいますか
- ヒカ碁 - Hikaru geh
- ヒカ碁 - HikaSai curious
Not exactly the ones I would have picked knowing I have only six available.
My upcoming paycheck is about $50 bigger than I expected, which makes me happy indeed, and I'll have a full $100 available after bills (not including the $30 deposit I'll be getting from UDS today, but $10 of which is already spoken for). Gotta think about how I want to use that. Mouse, blank DVDs, SGMS, unexpected food costs, finally bringing my savings account about the $100 minimum balance... (It's been at $0 for the last three months or so, with my transferring in $4 every month to cover the montly low-balance fee.)
I couldn't use my bus pass today. I'm sure it's because I tried to use my UPass physical card. I guess I'll just have to call Metro Transit first thing in the morning to get this straightened out, but hopefully it won't be too much of a pain. Might mean spending actual cash on my fare for a week or two, though.
Closing today was... Not too great. In addition to having a fairly steady flow of customers for the last 4-ish hours, making it hard to get ahead on stocking and other closing tasks, I also got a bit too into stocking after I pulled the gates tonight, and basically did that to the exclusion of sweeping and mopping. I did sanitize all the surfaces and Windex the display cases, though. Looks like I'll be going in early tomorrow, and that's saying something considering I already have to be there at 9:45. ><; What's worse, I'm sure Jim and Laure are going to be coming in in the morning to do apples, so either they'll come in to see me working way ahead of my scheduled shift, or they'll see the place an un-swept, un-mopped mess. Maa, I guess I'll just have to be honest with them.
It was weird coming home today with the door to the kitchen wide open, rather than closed with a glove in the door to keep Ahab from getting out in the middle of the night. I have to say, though, in general I feel a bit like I'm in denial, despite seeing his dead face in the car today before my parents took him to Feist to be cremated. Maybe because he was gone on vacation except for the one night, and now I feel like he's just back on vacation?
Okay, I'm gonna be getting up early enough without me staying up any later than this. G'night.
P.S. Remind me to take care of my Right Stuf order before the Funimation sale ends on the 31st.
[EDIT: You know what, screw it, I know very well I want to spend that extra money on SGMS, and it's not like it'll leave me broke. Besides, especially now that I have that weekend off of work, it'd really suck to not be able to go because of registration being full. Now I just need to wait until the 31st so I can get paid.]

Although the Slayers dub kinda sucks balls. At least as far as the baddies are concerned.]
