tsukikageI knew Ahab was sick, but I didn't expect anything like this.
He's too weak to pick himself off the floor, and his breathing sounds incredibly labored.
I want to ask for work off tomorrow, just in case, but I also have no way of knowing if we'll be attempting treatment only for me to need the day off later in the week.
I want to be with him right now, I should be with him, but I know whatever happens I'll need my rest.
Besides, I'm not really strong enough to deal with it.
Oh god...
[EDIT: Trying to rest, but I can only do that when I managed to forget that there's anything abnormal in the kitchen. Which is disturbingly easy, but not easy enough.]
