Playing to the House
Aug. 23rd, 2008 12:30 amThe current Shakespeare difficulty:
I have to select many portions of 5-8 lines in which I direct Falstaff in gestures to "play to the house" to indicate that he "knows exactly what is going on and so takes us into his confidence". Frankly... I am completely stumped. Moving beyond my general failure at creativity, I can't find any lines in really any of the 11 indicated scenes where any "playing to the house" seems appropriate. I've tried googling this technique, and haven't come up with anything yet. I called my former-theater major friend for advice, and I'll call her again tomorrow so we can go over some of this. Hopefully I'll get some ideas.
Guh, I'm down to May-term like crunch. Three weeks, three credits, and I'm maybe a quarter done. Good going, Nastassja. ><;
(I'm assuming) whatever is causing my transfer rates over Skype and Bit Torrent to suck is also throttling my Symantec AntiVirus update download speed. I think it's been updating for two hours now, and it just reached 2%. I kind of want to call USI Wireless tech support about this, but I'm not entirely sure how much they'd be able to help over the phone.
I think my computer speakers are starting to go downhill, as I'm getting quite noticeable static.
