So, I have bad news for you all. I'm going to be transferring my Diaryland entries to LJ since I'm a little worried about my entries being deleted from lack of use. I'll try to keep it to a minimum - maybe a month a day (and I only posted about once every other day back then).

[EDIT: Ah, maybe we're safe. It seems that backdated entries actually aren't added to peoples f-lists as they're posted, like I thought they were. I have to say, though, all these entries from back when he and I were together are weird.]

[EDIT 2: WTF, my entries seem to have disappeared into some sort of ether. According to my LJ archive page for 2008, I made 11 posts today, but I see no sign of them anywhere, at any time, in either Semagic or LJ proper.]

[EDIT 3: It has appeared out of the ether, and indeed not on your f-lists.]

Weird question I should just try myself, I guess, but... do you HAVE to check the "backdated" button when you submit an entry with a date earlier than your latest?

I did realize (quite by accident) a long time ago that the backdated ones didn't appear on friends' lists. I kinda thought it was unfortunate, really, I'd like it if they could appear way back in ORDER in friends list (so if I posted something for March, if you did a "back back back back..." in your friends list you'd find it.

I'm experimenting with leaving rough draft things hidden, and will be mucking with the dates when they go live...

I dunno... Like, Semagic complains to me if I try to post entries earlier than the last non-backdated etnry (I have some entries "backdated" to 2035), but maybe you don't need to check it as backdated from the website's entry composition page. As for pages appearing in order on your f-list, that actually rings a bell now. Luckily no-one's f-list will go back to 2003 (I think the limit is 2 weeks).
