I've discovered a new talent today.
Apparently I am extremely talented at burning omelettes. Two two-egg omelettes in a row. I managed to save the second one by ditching the omelette and turning it into scrambled eggs.
Hopefully it's a talent that'll atrophy with practice.
And Chanht said cooking is easy, because all you have to do is follow the recipe...
You know, it seems to me that all fiction that talks about the curse of eternal life is rather the curse of being the only one with eternal life - how painful it is to outlive every single person you care for or who cares for you. Although perhaps it's only trying to talk about if one person in this mortal existence was granted immortality, not speaking of heaven or anything like that.
[EDIT: E-mail from my mom: "omelettes are hard. i stick to the child proof scrambled eggs."
My reply: "I'm glad to hear even culinary experts sympathize. :)"
Maybe I should ask my dad for tips, as that's something he used to make on a regular basis.]
