Today's kitchen experiment wannabe: Chicken ramen with daikon, carrots, tofu, and green onion. (Put the tofu in a tupperware container so it won't spill. Although the tofu tasted a little... sweet... so I'm not entirely sure I'm gonna keep using it.) Been using a lot of daikon lately as, well, one "stalk" of daikon is rather big, and a lot of green onion as I <3 it and it wilts quickly. (I've already pinched off most of the best part of the bunch.) It hasn't cooled enough for me to really try it, but as lame as my experiment was I'm sure it won't be bad. I wish I had some frozen green peas to add to it, though. (Heh, then I'd really feel like I was back in my RBC days.)
Told my boss today that I'm officially not going camping, although I also told him I'd like to remain in denial for a few days... After which ensued a discussion about camping by one's parents' burial sites. ^^; Which means 9 days of cooking for myself, which means lots of opportunity for kitchen experiments. Depending on the status of food in the house right before my parents leave, I might ask for a small grocery allowance, which I'd actually probably spend at Rainbow or Cub with two or three additions from United Noodle. (Which reminds me, I still have to pick up some umeboshi.) But first I should find some recipes I want to try out. More importantly, I need to start getting up early enough to make myself a meal for work. *has eaten from the food court two days in a row*
Finally in unseen episodes of DS9. ^_^ Just finished episode 7 ("Rules of Acquisition)".

[EDIT: Hmm, I guess the experiment isn't totally useless: I discovered that cooked carrot is too sweet for ramen, at least for my tastes. I might try adding the carrots at the very end, but I think that'd be unpleasantly crunchy, so my guess is that carrots just don't belong in ramen. Or maybe I just need to strike a balance.]

[EDIT 2: I want Wednesday to come already so I can pay my bills. Or, well, bill. But that doesn't change the fact that I want to pay it.]

[EDIT 3: Why do I keep feeling the need to listen to the entirety of every Manga Pulse episode just because it comes in the Anime Pulse feed on iTunes? If it were its own feed, I would have removed it long ago.]

[EDIT 4: Actually, I realized I can safely make my University payment on Tuesday - yay! But one annoying thing is I can't come to a final balance in my checkbook since RightStuf seems to have adjusted the total of my most recent order, and one thing about it has me unsure whether the final adjustment has been made. I don't like not knowing exactly how much money I have. :-/]
