I talked to Jim about camping/July 4th, and he thinks I should be able to go on the August trip as well as get July 4th off, so it should be the best possible situation: I get to go camping with my family and hang out with my friends. ^_^ So yeah,
carve037,
eurohybrid62, I'm basically 90% sure that we're still on for the fourth.
Work today was good. Went by kind of fast, actually, but that might just be because it was my first day and everything was new, or maybe because I spent the first 90-ish minutes of it going over stuff with Laure in the Barnes and Noble cafe. ^^; I'm gonna make some register flashcards for myself tonight. I asked about music/books, and neither are allowed, which is fine.
One downside was that I didn't bother to look up the bus route home, and as a result had to (well, chose to, I guess) walk maybe 1.5 or 2 miles home from the 46th St. Station at midnight since the last bus from there leaves at 11:30. So next time I'll be taking the bus to the Franklin Ave. Station and catching the 24 there, or else I'll take the 23 or 21 and walk 3 or 4 blocks, respectively. Although actually, as long as I catch the train by 10:56 I should be able to catch the 24 from the 46th St. Station, so I guess the other options will just be backup plans.
ANYWAYS.
Gotta make flashcards and get me to bed.
Oh yeah, I was listening to a recording of a panel with The Pillows on an Anime Pulse special, and this one stupid girl decided to ask her question in Japanese. Now, granted, her Japanese seemed no worse than mine, at least in terms of spoken ability, but dude... The room's fully of people who probably had no clue what you just said, so you're just making yourself look like a fool by making the translator translate you for the audience.
[EDIT: Oh, in case anyone's wondering, the visiting friend policy at RMCF is basically feel free to say hi, but don't socialize.]
[EDIT 2: GitS:SAC left Des Moines at 1:12 this morning. Yay. :)]
