tsukikageUniversity Dining Services (where I work) is looking for people to work from 2-11 PM on Thursday, May 29th. Pay is $10/hr.

Hello UDS student employees! [They specifically said in a later e-mail that friends and family are welcome to work.]
We are seeking service staff for the annual University of Minnesota Alumni Association celebration dinner coming up on Thursday May 29th. The dinner will be held outside in a tent on the Northrop Mall Area. This year’s keynote speaker will be Doris Taylor PhD; a world renowned cardiac researcher.
We are looking for 80+ servers. Duties for the servers will include clearing plates, refilling drinks, setting out condiments/bread and etc. Although most of the staff will be UDS affiliates, we are opening the opportunity for your friends or family as well. Serving experience is highly preferred, but not required. All non-UDS employees will be placed within UDS employee service teams to ensure training and support. UDS employees will be paid their current wage. [This actually turned out to no be true - we'll be paid $10 as well.] Non-UDS Service staff will be paid $10.00/hr (minus FICA tax). All Non-UDS candidates must be over 18 years of age and present a social security card along with a valid state issued I.D at the event.
The schedule may vary, but most shifts are from 3pm or 4pm until 11pm. Servers MUST work the ENTIRE shift. You will be paid cash at the end of the shift or special arrangements can be made for a check to be written out to your organization.
** Servers working this event must abide by University Dining Service personal appearance guidelines. They will be sent home if the guidelines are not met. The following is NOT permitted: Excessive facial piercings, beards, goatees (a mustache is permitted if it is above the top lip), and visible tattoos. UDS will provide the catering attire for all servers; a white tux shirt and bow tie. You are responsible for black pants and black shoes **
