denshi jisho upgrade
Feb. 15th, 2008 01:44 pmNo fair! The new version of the Casio XD-GW9600 (the Japanese electronic dictionary I got) has Japanese audio with proper pitch accent! I'm sort of tempted to sell my current one on eBay and upgrade, but there aren't any good ones on eBay right now so I can't get a sense of what the going rate would be, and I'm definitely not willing to spend $200 just to find out how to properly pronounce the words. There is the one downside that the XD-GP9700 (the new version) doesn't seem to take SD version of the Kodansha Kanji Learner's Dictionary, but at the same time I was planning to get the CD version anyway, once (if?) I do get that.
I was going to run some errands during my break, but by the time I looked up all the information I needed it was really too late to get back in time, so now I'm just relaxing. Hopefully I'll still be able to take care of said errands when I get off of work this evening - I'll have to try to take care of all the closing tasks quickly.
Dewa, shigoto ni modoranakya.

Although this is reminding me, years ago there was some funny website that had song covers done with all the words being read out by the online Mirriam-Webster, it was pretty hilarious...
