So, I'll probably get it eventually, but... L's English voice is too... deep. I mean, I could also mention that Light's English voice is a lot higher-pitched than the Japanese, but it doesn't matter quite as much with him, I think. L's... eccentricism... seems to work better with a less... adult?... voice. Maybe, like some people have said. L and Light's voices should have been switched. I dunno.
In any case, I'm quite happy with the acting by basically everyone.

You know, I said the same thing about L's voice. Sure, the guy's 25 years old, but he's supposed to sound younger...and a lot more tired! O_O

I laughed when I heard Light's voice. Brad Swaille? Everytime I hear him I hear Quatre, and Quatre declaring himself the God of the new world in which he shall pass righteous judgement... just strikes me as hilarious XD

I haven't heard L's voice yet, I've never heard of his voice actor either *shrug* so we'll seeeee

yup. and Ryuk is voiced by Brian Drummond, he played Zechs, though when I hear him I think of the first Vegeta XD

L sounds okay to me I guess, but I do prefer the Japanese voices C:
