iTunes shuffle by album

I think Matt may have mentioned this to me earlier, but iTunes is really annoying me right now:
When I try to shuffle a particular playlist by album, some of the albums break up all over the place while others stay together. And it's not just a matter of whether the whole album is present or not. I can't figure out what the difference is between the ones that stay together and the ones that don't, either. It also seems to always be the same albums that break up and stay together, too...
Ideas?

If it's an album with "various artists", select them all and put something to that effect under "album artist". iTunes only recognizes something as one album if the artist is the same- otherwise it would pile together every single album called "greatest hits"!

No, for just that reason I always make sure the "artist" is whatever the whole album falls under, so that's not the problem.
Dude, come onto AIM or gtalk or something so I can procrastinate more effectively!

Artist and album aritist are slightly different, and it's best to make sure that each album has the album artist marked if you want to be sure it shuffles together. If other differences are present between songs (such as if the # of tracks is listed on one but not the other, or the year or such is different) it is also less likely to recognize them. Believe me, I went through this same thing a few months ago when I was on a shuffle by album kick. It's best just to select the whole album and make sure everything is consistent.
