It's kind of weird... As I've said before, I've managed to set myself a pretty stable bedtime of 10:30-11:30. Also, as I mentioned yesterday, I really wasn't in the mood to go to bed on said day. So, I stayed up on the computer until 12:45, at which point I was trying to figure out some eBay fees I was charged and my brain just would not work I was so tired. I figure that's a good sign, but it's still kind of odd when I think of how I used to stay up until 3 am or so on a daily basis, and my brain wouldn't get that fried until more like 6 am. Of course, none of this really matters as I'll have to vastly adjust my sleep schedule twice in the next month, so it doesn't really matter what it's like now. That and the fact that my Saturday night theater shift guarantees me getting home no earlier than 1:45 am on Sunday mornings.
Work today was... interesting... I didn't get really tired at work and take a half hour half-nap on the couch like I often do, but I got distracted by some brainstorming I was doing to prepare for my trip and didn't start vacuuming until about 4:45, which is a half hour before I begin closing. I hadn't filled the sinks yet, so once I finished vacuuming the front area of the room and was about to start moving chairs I decided to start the soapy water running to improve my efficiency. Well, you can guess what happened: soapy water all over the floor. So I had to do my best job to mop that up without a mop well or a mop bucket small enough to fit in the sink or much of anything. So, I do a measly mopping job, rinse off the mop in the sink, balance it over a garbage can to drip dry before I carry it across the carpet to the janitor's closet, and get back to moving chairs and vacuuming.
Fast forward to about an hour later as I'm getting ready to close. As I'm grabbing drinks to put in the cooler for the morning, I drop a bottle of red Powerade on the floor and the cap breaks and I get Powerade all over the floor, which is not something I can just let evaporate. So I get out the least dirty rag out of the bag of dirty rags (did I mention we've been out of clean rags for 5 days now? I've kept the last two rags (a soapy water rag and a sanitizer water rag) in use by making sure to rinse them out well at the end of every night and hanging them over the sink to dry) and do my best to wipe it up/rinse out the rag/wipe more up/etc.
In the end, I get out of work 50 minutes late and get home an hour late. In the end it's not that bad, since at least I'll get paid for that time, but it still was kind of poopy. That and for some reason by the time the bus got to my stop I was frickin' exhausted (I wonder why).
So now I have to decide what to do with this last hour of the evening. I might actually go to bed early... *shrugs my shoulders*
