Meeting my mom at Sushi Tango at 1:30 today. Hopefully that'll be nice.
Two points of annoyance:
1) The gate is down, the lights are off, and I may or may not be counting the register. Therefore, no, we are not open. If it is currently in the AM, you can wait if you'd like. If it is in the PM, try again another day. On the plus side, once I clarified things for you you were very polite about it. But still, it's amusing, and a bit annoying.
2) Yesterday I was at the Seventh Street Garage sitting on the ground and watching videos on my iPod, when a security guard came up and told me I either had to stand up or sit on the benches inside (where it's harder to notice if a bus is approaching). Why? Because it looks bad on the cameras. WTF does that mean? You can't get any less delinquent than sitting quietly and minding your own business. I decided not to pick a fight, if only because that's not really in my nature, and also because I didn't want to get myself in trouble, but I'm considering complaining to the garage or whoever made that policy, because it's bullshit.
