Woah... So, apparently even in Japan they sometimes pronounce 行く as "yuku" while giving it the furigana of い.く. As a specific example, in Fushigi Yuugi, during the ending credits they have the line 「こんなにうまく 行きっこない」, and while the singer clearly prononces it "yukikkonai", there's a small い above the行.
I guess that's just one of those things where it's not an official reading - it must be more of some kind of phonetic drift. I wish I had some more data or evidence or conclusions or something. (Wait, come to think of it... It's basically the same as 言う always receiving the furigana of い.う, even when it's (almost?) universally pronounced "yuu".
In other news... My room is so darn clean now! It reminds me of way back when (the after pics are on the second page). There still are some things that need doing, but they're all things that I feel 100% comfortable with categorizing under "big annoying but not particularly urgent tasks that I should do once every 3 months or so". And then there's cleaning out the "back room" (I don't know what to call it) of my closet, which is kinda like one's idea of an attic, which will take a whole weekend in itself. Plus, a lot of that stuff isn't mine, so... Yeah, maybe I'll get around to that before school starts. Maybe.
Anyways, especially since after Margaret helped me clean my dorm last winter (I mean the winter of 05-06) I was able to keep it that clean until I started getting ready to move into my second dorm room, my hopes are that by spending 5-10 minutes tidying a day and some deeper cleaning chores (dusting, vacuuming, etc.) over the weekendw, I'll be able to keep it this way. 頑張ります!

Actually, I'd recommend not yelling at people about their romanization in general unless it's so terribly wrong as to interfere with comprehension. In a lot of cases, it's going to come off as snobbish. Just a heads up, don't mean to disrespect.

I see what you're saying, but as far as I THOUGHT, this wasn't a matter of preferring one system over another, but them actually getting it wrong because they didn't listen to the song (or whatever) itself. Also, when I say "yell at people", I never went further than grumbling to other people about it.
