morning update

tsukikageI had trouble getting to sleep last night, so now I'm running on about 6.5 hours of sleep, which isn't that bad, but it's kinda lame for summer. :-/ But at least I got a bit more studying than I would have done otherwise. (I've been hoping to get a good bit of Japanese review in this summer.)
My experiment last night turned out... experimentally. At one point I was between burning the beans and under-cooking the chicken, and I chose the later. While I was eating a bowl of the stuff, tearing off somewhat nervous strips of chicken, I realized that since this bird wasn't frozen anymore, I could take the rest of the chicken off the bone (which was still hard, since I suck at this stuff) and chop it up and put it in for just a little bit longer, having more surface area to cook and all that. So yeah, it turned out... okay. Alana thought it needed more spices, and Dad put some grated parmesan on it, which worked well.
I made some of my "Tea of Happiness" (Chinese Honeydew White/peppermint blend) today, which I haven't made in months. I hope it turned out well, but at the moment it's still too hot to drink.
Well, I'm gonna go off to the U to get a new pencil, since I lost mine at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
darkjing's, and he hasn't found it yet. (Frtizy (sp?), you didn't accidentally take it home with you,did you?) And if I get there in time, I'm also gonna drop off Clover for hampster_cowboy. Either way, after that it's off to aikachi's for a day of long-overdue hanging-out.
Mmm... Something's off with my tea... It'd be so much easier if they brewed at the same temperatures... ^^; Oh, shite... I think I also accidentally added more of the peppermint than the white. ><; (I'm supposed to add more white than peppermint.)
Okay, now back to getting ready for the day. ^_^
