Well, I got some of my application done, anyway. Though not as much as I had hoped for, especially considering I have a bit of catch up work and a lot of getting ahead to do in English, and I wanted to finish up the catch-up work by midnight tomorrow at the latest. On the plus side, I realized that I don't have to mail in my application, since once I'm ready I can just submit it online.
So, Wilson's open from 8 am to 9 pm tomorrow. I'm meeting with a Japanese teacher from Macalester at Coffman at 3:30... I dunno. I kind of want to spend the whole day at the library, but at the same time I can't even check out books right now because I'm not caught up in my University payments. Still, I need to get at least last Friday's annotated bibliography entries done, and I can still make a list of what books I need to check out when Dad makes a payment to the University on Wednesday.
Why is it that I always have big expectations of getting everything done over normal weekends, but now that I'm on spring break... I feel like there's no way I'm gonna get everything done. It's never happened like this before, either. ><; Maybe it's just that I'm getting realistic about things, plus the fact that you expect more from yourself over break.
My to-do list (priorities marked by an *):
* clean room
* RELAX (i.e., get full nights of sleep)
- copy Japanese notes
- SBAM
- watch Rayearth
* watch Nausicaa
- watch Death Note
* Concordia application
- Pi Day
* review kanji
* review grammar/vocab
* write research paper (although if I just get a solid thesis and outline done by the end of the week I'll consider this goal accomplished; the rough draft is due on 3/27)
* get ahead in EngC
- get ahead in Japanese
- prep all Japanese audio files (NM, they're not up yet anyway.)
* practice tea ceremony
* prepare for 中間口頭試験 (which is on 3/21)
* taxes
* FAFSA
- prepare for chapter for chapter 11 test (in Japanese, which is on 3/26)
* contact the woman in charge for hiring for residential positions with Upward Bound
Too much, too much!!!
Okay, I'm gonna go to bed now.
P.S. My checking account is 48 cents overdrawn. That's what happens when you trust your online bank balance rather than your check register. Will have to rectify that tomorrow.
P.P.S. I requested to work at catering from 7 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm on 3/16. Don't know if I'll get them, though - someone may have beat me to it. I'm torn as to whether I should request for more. :-/ As a matter of fact, I'm torn as to whether I should have requested the ones I did in the first place. Rawr. Well, she's responding to requests on Tuesday, so I have until then to withdraw my request, I guess.
P.P.P.S. I decided that, no, I need to focus on freshman comp., and I'm just about to e-mail the catering person to say I can't work said shifts.
