You Are a Little Messy

You aren't the cleanest person in the world, but you're definitely not a slob.
You clean up when you have the time, but you're realistic about what you can get done.
Generally, you're pretty organized and tidy - though you may have a few hidden messes.
You eventually get around to making things spotless, but you do it on your own schedule!

Honestly, I'm more of a slob than this result indicates. But hey, I'm a slob with good intentions?...

On the schedule today:
- spend some time cleaning my room
- finish my Concordia Language Villages application (which includes writing a number of 1-2 paragraph essays)
- determine my topic for my research paper in freshman comp. (and submit related discussion)
- e-mail the person responsible for hiring for residential positions with Upward Bound
I think I'm gonna start with cleaning so I can feel better when I get to work.

Also, Laura, if you read this, if you're applying to more than one language village, do you have to write why you want to work at the Language Villages and the goals you will set for yourself if hired in all the languages you're applying for, or just one?

For the question where you're supposed to write your response in the Village language, yes, you should write out a response for each program you're applying to, since the deans of other Villages will in all likelihood be unable to read your response and will not take the time to find out what it says - when I've applied to work at the Villages in the past, I think I've only ever written out a proper response in Japanese (and MAYBE a crappy resonse in Mandarin once, but I don't specifically remember doing so) regardless of what else I've applied to because my application for other programs wasn't as serious and I didn't really care too terribly much, with the result that I've been hired for the Japanese Village for the summer once before because I am awesome, and twice for the Chinese Village (once as a counselor/administrative gofer and once as kitchen staff) because they were horribly strapped for staff both years, and my applications for the Spanish and German Villages have been completely ignored, unsurprisingly enough. (I would've accepted a job offer from them if there was a position they really needed filled that didn't conflict with other stuff, but otherwise I didn't really care one way or the other.) The lesson is, if you want a Village to take your application seriously, be sure to answer seriously in a way that indicates your interest in that individual Village, even if it means that you have to give longer answers for some of the questions to cover all the bases, especially the stuff you're supposed to talk about in a language other than English.
