my two cents on the execution of Saddam Hussein

I just want to get this out...
I heard Saddam Hussein was hung today.
I do not believe in capital punishment under any circumstances, and as such I am saddened by this.
And with that... I head off to bed.

I think last night they only said they would execute him sometime in the next month. I'm surprised that they did it so quickly, though. I'm anti-death penalty as well and would have pushed for life in prison instead...

He was a terrible person. Did he deserve to die for what he did? That's not for me to decide. I'm against capital punishment, but... I can't be his judge. The Iraqi people were his judge, and they have spoken.

I'm not against it, as I believe batshit insane fuckheads, child molesters and serial killers/rapists should be put to death, as they will never change over time. Everyone else? Nah, they're not worth it, let 'em rot.

I'm with you. I understand why people wanted him dead, but I don't think that makes it valid.
