dealing with my inability to go to bed

Job hunting starts again tomorrow. I should get to bed by midnight, preferably earlier, but I'm also unhappy with how much I got done today regarding LJ reading and JLPT/Japanese studying, so I kind of want to stay up later doing that... Not to mention my general hate of going to bed.
I wonder if maybe a good approach to getting myself to go to bed when I'm uncomfortable would be to put myself in a state of mind that I'm just taking a nap... Maybe starting by setting the alarm for an hour or two after I go to bed?
Oh wow, how messed up is that... Learning to go to bed by re-enforcing my inability to get up when my alarm goes off...
Well, for now I'm just gonna finish this episode of PoT. I think when I'm done I'll work with my kanji flashcards before turning out the light rather than reading...
