network abuse
Jun. 6th, 2004 12:26 pmDad made me uninstall Bit Torrent today, telling me to never install anything like it again. He's convinced that one of my file sharing programs is the reason behind the network constantly failing. He also sees my downloading of 250 meg .avi files as an abuse of our internet connection. Patrick says that BT couldn't possibly be what's breaking the network, and I don't understand how downloading media is an abuse of our connection. Maybe it makes webpages load more slowly, but in my mind the advantage of high-speed internet is not fast page loading, but the ability to reasonably download multimedia. I understand him just as much as if he said keeping this journal was an abuse of our network...
I'm really, really hungry, but I'd have to go downstairs to eat, and I feel uncomfortable being around my dad right now.
