I sent Patrick an e-mail today letting out all my emotions, and then at the end letting him know that I'm going to follow you guys' advice and just not communicate with him for an indefinite period. I also asked him (rhetorically) that question I've felt I've needed to ask before I could get over him.
I've deleted all pictures of him and conversations between us from my various storage locations.

Ganbarimasu! Kyou kara zettai ni genki ni narimasu yo!

P.S. Oh noes! I deleted the toys convo! *tear*

I'm proud of the steps you've taken. I think this will be really helpful, because now you can concentrate on yourself and what you need for a while without having to worry about falling into angst over the whole situation. Even though it may be tempting to contact him at first, I think by the end of the month, if you stick with it, you'll feel a lot less needy and won't seem desperate if you do start to open contact again.
