my first RBC fire alarm

I would like to inform everyone that today was my first experience with RBC's fire alarm. And it is damn annoying. It consists of two high pitched sliding tones, and then "May I have your attention please. This tone indicates that there is a fire on an adjacent floor. Please be ready to vacate if needed." Or something like that. My memory's really poor. And it repeats over and over.
Both Rebecca and I found that it was quieter in the living area, so I exchanged a few words with her, then was quiet because I figured I didn't want to push it, especially when she was nearly falling asleep in her chair. I, however, have been struggling for about half an hour (my guess, as I wasn't really looking at the clock), so I went back into my room to grab my book, changed my mind and got my vocab flashcards, and awake-ily went through them. (As long as I was out of my room I think I could have rested if I wanted to, I just couldn't fall asleep.)
But damn that thing nearly gave me a heart attack when the first tone went off. ><;
*watches the Mahou Sentai MagiRanger movie ("Infershia no Hanayome") that just finished downloading, hoping I'll be ready to go back to sleep when it's over*
[cut as I mention Rebecca ^^;]
[EDIT: Okay, that wasn't a movie so much as an OVA that got projected on to theater screens in Japan. First reason? It was 40 minutes long. Second? Well, you guys know the difference between an OVA and a movie - it just wasn't a movie. I'm gonna watch the first episode of RONDO now.]
