I just finished reading chapter 19 of げんき, and I just wanted to say that keigo = t3h suck. I'm kind of glad that it's becoming less used these days, so maybe if any of my superiors in Japan hear how horrible I am at it, they'll be okay with letting me use regular speech. (Although I think it's a sad thing culturally...)
I really need to pick up some flashcards from Coffman, because this using my calculator's flashcard application thing isn't working very well... I don't know what it is... Maybe that the writing is in romaji, or something about the calculator screen, or that I typed the cards up rather than wrote them out by hand, or even that for some reason I don't run through the cards as often when they're on my calculator, but I haven't been memorizing things as well since I've been using the calculator flashcards...
The only problem is that I currently don't have any money, and the OneStop peeps decided to put my holds back on so I can't pay for them with my student account... I suppose I could use index cards, but that'd be harder to use when I'm walking places.
Meh, I'll figure out something, and payday should be soon...

hole punch and rings
Date: 2006-02-07 05:55 am (UTC)Cut 3x5 cards in hald and take (by any means necessary) a hole punch available at most computer labs and various other places or buy a single punch, anyway the point is you punch a hole in the corner of the card.
You hand write your cards.
Use a hinged ring clip to attach several cards. The rings are better than string because they are stiff and you can loop a finger or thumb through it and go through the stack of cards with one hand.
The rings are available in several sizes and if you know someone who works in an office can be gotten for free.
The rings makes it easy to study when you are waiting for other things to happen. You can keep a set of cards in your pocket so your are always ready to flip through them. It looks like this Rign Bound Flip Cards
And you get more studying done if you make them yourself. You can do the whole project for free or if you have to buy some of the stuff you can get by for very cheap. You probably already have a hole punch and most people wouldn't notice if you only steal a few 3x5 cards from their stack.
