Got up at 8 today, even though I set my alarm for 5:30. (Went to bed around 11.) The sleep was good for me, though. Mucked around a bit, ate breakfast, got dressed...
Japanese was okay. It annoys me to think of how valuable the lectures are, as it provides so much more information on the nuances of grammar that the book doesn't provide, and that I've missed so many lectures and lost so many of my notes. I wonder if Emmett-sensei would let me borrow a copy of all of her lecture notes through first year so I can copy them all. ^_^;;
On my way home I stopped by Prof. Mulkern's office to talk to her. There was someone in her office working, and I assumed it was her, so I sat in the reception area for a bit getting up the courage to talk to her, but when I finally went in to her office it was her office-mate that was there, so I left a note, spent some time looking at her books (including her Ph.D. thesis...), then went home. When I got home I spent some more mucking around and hanging out with Pat, not really sure what my work priorities were. In the end I didn't go to linguistics, opting instead to leave in time to catch her after class and talk to her then, in the off-chance that she'd let me make up the quiz I missed on Tuesday if I wasn't there when they discussed it.
When I went to Folwell to wait for class to let out, I changed my mind and decided to go to Nolte and meet her there. Again, even after I saw that she had arrived at her office I sat there, again trying to get up the courage to talk to her. To be honest, when I finally did talk to her, it was because she came out to the reception area for some reason and asked if I wanted to talk to her... ^_^; So, I went into her office, and she said that basically out of the work that we've done I have about 50%, and what we've done so far will constitute about 55% of our final grade, meaning that if I do perfectly on the rest of the work for the semester, I can pull off a low- or mid-C. I also got some information on the presentations that are Thursday and Tuesday, and she said I could do mine on Tuesday. They're supposed to be 5-10 minutes, and they're nowhere near the breadth of the papers, so I should be able to pull that off despite being so insanely far behind on my paper...
日本語能力試験を取らない方がいいかも。
Hung out with Sergey a bit this evening. Ended up not going to dinner with Pat because of it (he was starving), but I don't get to see Sergey much so it's okay. He's a fun guy. :)

So, now I'm gonna get back to studying for my LASK test tomorrow. I'm done with the reading! Yay!
