All of the sudden this tune comes onto the classical web radio station I'm listening to, and I know I recognize it... But I can't pin it down, so I run to my computer to see if the name of the song gives me any clues. Yup:
Vanessa Mae - the devil's trill sonata
Darn you, Yami no Matsuei - I thought you wrote that thing yourself, but nope, it's a classical piece.
Although I must say that Ms. Mae's rendition of it doesn't seem to be the original arrangement... Not that I've heard the original arrangement, but this one seems to have too many flavors to be written by a classical composer.
Oh... Nevermind... The "strange flavors" were just embedded music in the Vanessa Mae webpage I had open. I thought it sounded like more than one song playing at once... ^^;

She remixed it. I actually have the sheet music to the original. *plays violin* Some Russian wrote it I think. I believe his name starts with a "T" and I can't pronounce the rest.

I assume not Tchaikovsky, then?

My sheet music says... Giuseppe Tartini. Is that Italian? That might be Italian...
