Well... Things have been interesting, I guess.
Alana and Patrick are in the same French phonetics class. I'm really jealous - not only did he apparently have more of a conversation with Alana than I've had with her in probably the last five years, but Alana gets to take a class with him when I don't. Of course, Patrick couldn't help but tease me about how he thought Alana was kind of cute. I don't think he understands that I really am a jealous person. There's this little feeling in me that won't go away, suggesting that because they're in the same class that there's a possibility that he'll dump me and she'll dump Ben in order to go out with each other, or that although neither of them would do that even if they did begin to like each other, Patrick would dump me because he couldn't date me while having a crush on Alana.
And of course both of the above situations are complete B.S.

KEY:
- JPN 3021: "Intermediate Japanese", a.k.a. second year, first semester Japanese. 5 credits.
- LASK 1001: "Mastering Skills for College Success", a retake of an F. 2 credits.
- LING 3101W: "Languages of the World". 3 credits.
- PSY 1001: "Introduction to Psychology", a retake of a D, online (which is why it's not listed on my schedule). 4 credits.
- badminton: I'm going to be participating in the University Badminton Club. There's also practice on Thursdays from 5:30-8, but MAS (which will be explained next) is more imprtant to me. Since I don't believe there are any real competitions, it won't really matter if I miss one of the four practices a week.
- MAS: The University of Minnesota Manga Anime Society. Every week we watch four shows (one for a half hour, three for an hour each) and have lots of fun. I like getting there early, 'cuz they often play music videos and such. This semester we'll be watching Genshiken, Gankutsuou, Samurai Champloo, and Planetes. [line-up knowledge thanks to rubyd] Not so sure about SC... There's the whole having-been-aired-on-TV thing, and also I don't really like the turntable-like direction. But the guy with the glasses is cute. (BTW, I saw the first episode of SC twice, and no other episodes.)
- churchy things: I'm trying to explore various religions right now, including visiting various churches (by any name) around the area.

And then there's Community Council, but I don't know how that'll be scheduled. Yeah.

So, I should go to bed so I can swap my textbooks tomorrow.

Oh! One last thing before I go. My LING 3101 prof is Professor Mulkern, who I had for my first round of Syntax I in Spring '04. So, when I had Syntax I with her back then, she was appointed kind of last-minute, and wasn't able to place her textbook order at Coffman in time, so we ended up not getting the textbook she preferred until about three weeks into the class, and we got a back-up textbook about half-way into the first week.
This time? Last-minute appointment, textbook order not placed in time, and I'm without a textbook. And on top of that, she's putting together a course packet... At Coffman. No free linguistics packet for me. :(
But, yeah, I need to study my IPA - there are some symbols we weren't introduced to in 3001, and it would kinda help if I knew their properties...

i know what its like to be a jealous person... but honestly, my dear, there is a reason your boyfriend is with you, not her and i dont think that he would toss that reason aside lightly.
so be jealous since its natural but dont let it get to you *too* much.
