school?... what is this... school?...

tsukikageWell, today started off by sucking - having to get up at 6:30 and all that (though I went back to bed until quarter to 8 once I got back to my room), and having work at 8. Then as I was doing inventory on the combs and coils, the whole shelf of combs falls down. Luckily I didn't have to help sort them and put them in the right boxes, because I'm horrible at figuring out what sizes those buggers are. Then I didn't get to go to the fair (today was must last chance), which is still choking me up a bit. But eventually I had dinner with Pat at Comstock, and things got a bit better. I think I'll forget about the fair soon enough, I hope...
School starts tomorrow. I realized today that it has nearly been two years since I properly attended school. Scary. I still don't believe it, though. I mean, how can you when you've been working 35-40 hour weeks, you haven't bought any school supplies yet, you haven't bought your required textbooks for one of your classes yet because you don't know if you'll be allowed to take it (I'll be borrowing Pat's in the mean time), and you're not even 100% sure you'll be staying.
What in the world am I going to do if the appeal doesn't go through?...

redclaw42 along, which maybe wasn't the best idea. I got to spend time with him, and he helped me not spend too much money, but at the same time he didn't want to be there as long as I did, and I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted. I also saw musing_mouse there, but didn't get to hang out with her at all. Sorry, Margaret. ^^;
While I was there I got a big storage bucket for $7, a 13-pack of hangers, Endust and Endust for Electronics (it turns out that the "dusting spray" I got before was furniture polish, which is cool, but I need dusting spray), UNDERWEAR and SOCKS, some new sheets (wish I had gotten a second set, or at least a matching comforter... I may leaveit in its container until I get a comforter cover or something so it doesn't totally not match), and Ever After. Yay, pretty Drew Barrymore! I may have gotten some other stuff, but I can't remember what it might have been.
I still need to clean up my room really badly and figure out what Community Council position to apply for ("campaigning" starts tomorrow and the candidate intention form is due by the 11th; elections are on the 13th. I'm thinking either RHA Education Representative or Fundraising/Community Service Chair, but I don't have a detailed description of the differences, so it may come down to tossing a coin.
Speaking of the Fundraising/Community Service Chair position, to anyone who has ever lived in a dorm: What do you think of a dorm-wide garage sale to raise funds? Did you need and/or want everything you had brought? Would you be more likely to vote for someone with that proposition on their fliers than one without any proposition (one simply saying "vote for Nastassja")? If I ever run for president, I think I'd want Mitcho as my campaign manager. Heh.
So, now I'm gonna go trim my f-list, clean my room (and the living room), prep my makeshift materials for tomorrow (a 3-ring binder with looseleaf paper where I can take notes to copy into a realy notebook later), and then probably go to bed (I have work at 7 AM tomorrow ><; ). I may update again later, but who knows.
