Date: 2005-08-08 12:27 am (UTC)(Real answer) Oh good lord. Probably a tie between Lord of the Rings, Miyazaki movies, and Firefly. All three have amazingly friendly and enthusiastic fanbases (of those nerds I've met :P), all are highly addictive for me, and I have or have considered cosplaying characters from all of them. The Tenth Kingdom is also fun, but less a fandom and more a fling.
