Oatmeal with Brown Sugar Bath

Yay! Started this entry before I left for class, and now I'm back, with a bowl of oatmeal to boot! I think I used a bit too much water, though... *shrugs*
Class went well today. To be honest, I think I like this teacher better than Prof. Mulkern.
I didn't mention this yet, but yesterday I had a job interview with Mr. Movies in Edina (blech). They called me yesterday around noon, and told me that they were hiring for a part-time assistant manager, and asked if I wanted to come over for an interview. So, I took the first bus out and got there around two. The interview wasn't very interview-like, as the manager only asked a couple of questions - it was more him telling me about what he was looking for in an assistant manager. Since the real decision lies with the district manager, he sent an e-mail to her and she's going to call me some time in the next week to schedule an interview with her (in the next week? I don't have that much time!).
Also, Patrick left for Chicago last night to go to his grandpa's funeral, and should be back tonight. It's insane, but that's college for you. I'm hoping that he'll be back in time for me to spend the night at his place rather than me having to take the bus home after MAS. I'm becoming seriously spoiled...
Oh! I haven't mentioned this in this journal, but I've decided to just go for it pay for both syntax and LASK myself. Dunno how I'll make it work out - I'll just have to work my butt off to find a job A.S.A.P. I think I'm gonna sign up with a temp agency tomorrow, as well as go on an application spree.

Date: 2005-01-20 01:43 pm (UTC)You don't have the money for the second class, and you have to withdraw, right away. If you don't, you are undermining your ability to go back to school next year.
Please, please, please, take my advice, and ease off. The linguistics class is enough for now. You are shooting yourself in the foot.
love,
