Always doing things at the last minute...
Mar. 12th, 2010 01:09 amTo do before leaving:
- subscribe to podcasts on Yotsuba; make sure I have the right episodes downloaded to start with so I don't miss or overlap any
- wash and pack clothes
- copy any TV shows/anime I want to watch while gone to Yotsuba
- transfer all but minimum balance from savings to checking (decide how much is okay to spend while gone)
- make sure all power cords (laptop, iPod, phone) are packed
- wrap econ textbook
- check for anything I need to bring back to Minnesota (I still have a brand-new volume 1 of Mushi-shi available for the asking)
- make tea
- pack small amount of tea, tea spoon, filter and thermometer (お茶はついたら買った方がいいかしら)
- OMG FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON PI DAY I DON'T EVEN KNOW HEEEEEEELP!
- Along those lines, try to actually figure out when I'm getting together with friends/family. Again, I don't even know, but that's so much less complicated than the Pi Day shit.
- Pull contact info from my old computer and load onto iPod? I'm so not looking forward to dealing with that... *headdesk* Why can't I have a second mouse, keyboard, and monitor?
- Print Megabus reservation info.
- Find watch.
Is there anything I'm missing?
[EDIT: Dear computer - please transfer files to my iPod at a faster rate than 1 mBps.]
[EDIT 2: Huh. Do I go for stored value, which will require me to get a transfer from a bus if I want to directly board a train, or buy a couple of $6 day, 24 hour passes? Although if I remember right, I can buy transfers using my stored value from the ticket vending machines on the train platforms... Man, life was easier when I could just get the 31-day passes.]
[EDIT 3: "Your rail-only transfer is good for 12 hours so keep it and use it for your return trip on the rail line, then pay your bus fare using your Stored Value Card." I did not know that.]
