I can has outlet!
Mar. 12th, 2010 05:36 pmOn the bus from Champaign to Chicago. I was SO close to being late. But I suppose if I wasn't, I wouldn't be me? One tiny bit of awesomeness - for the first time (that I've noticed; maybe I've just ditzed out on it before) each set of two seats has an outlet, so I don't have to worry about draining Yotsuba's battery. (It's kind of funny to think of how recently I've started calling the EeePC "Yotsuba" instead of "the/my laptop" or "the/my EeePC". Yotsuba's so much easier.) I really hope I have an outlet on the Chicago-Minneapolis leg, although I suppose I should be spending that time sleeping as best I can, not doing whatever on the computer.
I just noticed something - nnormally I don't feel that odd about not wearing a seatbelt when I'm on the bus, but somehow, maybe because I'm sitting right at the front window (I'm on the second deck? second floor?) it's so much more nervous-making to not have a seatbelt. Maybe because this is a view I'm only used to when sitting in the front seat of a car (albeit from a higher vantage point).
And along those lines, a quick story from yesterday. When I finally left work I was riding home and felt that something was wrong. After about a block I realized - I wasn't wearing a helmet! It's rather reassuring to have made such a habit of certain safety measures that you have "ghosts" to remind you when they're not in place.
Anyways, I'm gonna watch the first episode of Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou and then... Well, I suppose this is the perfect opportunity to friggin' finish my QCing on Higepiyo. ><;
