job hunting update

Lessee, I applied to TCF, CVS, Walgreens, Comcast, Buckle, and The Chocolate Factory today. I have a bunch of paper applications I need to finish filling out and return to the Mall of America tomorrow, and I'll also be filling out the Jamba app. I filled out and make copies of that to drop off at all the local locations. After that I'll be applying at Target and doing more on-foot work. I also need to apply for staff positions at UDS and other University jobs.
Chocolate milk is yummy.

[EDIT: Just applied to the two UDS positions that didn't include separating garbage and washing garbage cans in the job description. Maybe I should get over myself, but... not yet.
From the job description for a clerical position I saw: "Must be able to lift 25 pounds (unpack supplies) and to remain seated for extended periods." If I were qualified, I think I could handle that. ^_^;

(It's kind of weird, I totally just started grinning without immediately realizing why when that scene came up.)

Finally, a good Fafner AMV to Shangri-La. The only complaint I have is there's a bit to much speeding up of the video, which is distracting when there are super-speed lip flaps going on.

Dad keeps getting on me to do on-foot job hunting. Really, as long as I'm actually submitting applications and I'm focusing on places I have a chance at (I've kind of given up on the clerical stuff, at least for now), I don't see the problem. I can fight my laziness once I run out of online applications to submit.

The song for this episode (Donten by Does from Gintama) is good - I'll have to DL it. :)

*smiles* It's my first time listening to Anime Pulse/The Otaku.com podcast in three weeks. I missed you guys... ^_^ (Sometimes I carry "saving the best for last" to the extreme.)

Gonna be seeing the Bleach movie with aikachi on Thursday. The ticket cost is half tuition for the Japanese lesson I'll be giving her (hmm, maybe I should start developing a lesson plan...), and half "an I love my nastassja present".

[EDIT: I finished applying to Snyders, U.S. Bank, and Wells Fargo. The U.S. Bank system was a bit messy, I must say... Apparently there weren't any open positions with Dollar Tree. And that's it for job hunting for today, except maybe for filling out some paper apps while watching Rurouni Kenshin.]
