tsukikage: (Bleach - Inoue's full)

Although I'm a bit squicky about teaching people that "douzo" means "please"... The use of that is quite nuanced.
I have a really bad craving for cold soba or udon right now. ><; I think I need to make a trip to United Noodles on my way home tomorrow. A~, hara hetta...
I'm really regretting not writing my "middle-draft" trees on printer paper to begin with, as I'm not really changing most of them, and now I have to re-draw all of them before typing up my homework.

[EDIT: I now have the next best thing - drained ramen noodles. No soup, and I didn't use soba sauce either, since that just wouldn't fit, I don't think. Even though the soba sauce was probably the biggest part of the craving. ^_^; Anyways, I really do like plain ramen noodles - they're very nutty. :)]

Yays, Alana and my online banking accounts are finally fixed!!! Well, minus one really small issue that the names listed on the online banking pages are switched, but that's really not much of a problem as long as its the right SSN, the accounts themselves have the right names and SSNs, and we dont' have access to each other's accounts. I also transferred a bunch of money to my savings account, so hopefully I'll be good and keep feeding that rather than making constant small withdrawals as I tend to...
Okay, I now had them fix my name, but they changed it to Nastassja M Riemermann. (Alana's middle names are Michelle Dooley.) That made me laugh. Oh well, I'll fix that in-branch another time.
*tries to figure out what's up with the university in John left the university.*

The landline is officially dead, and the 722 number switched to my Dad's cell phone. I'm sort of thinking I should invest in a nicer headset, even/especially if I don't end up buying a Skype phone.

The plot description actually sounds pretty interesting. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on the tankoubon when they come out.

[EDIT: After watching the first five eps. of Grey's Anatomy on YouTube, I decided to buy the first season on iTunes, and now I have a really bad case of watch-the-download-itis (no "this is a show about doctors" joke intended). And naturally each episode will take about 75 minutes to download. Self, I really suggest you find something better to do. Like focus on your syntax homework.
I also wish iTunes would stop being a poopbutt and let me remove season 4 from my shopping cart.]

I really can't give a final say now, but I don't think I want to go into ESL. I mean, I sort of knew this before, but now I have a more tangible sense of it. And really, I can't tell if TEFL will be any better, which sucks since it's basically the only way I know of to work in Japan, although apparently that's basically a 5-year gig tops.
Ugh, life is way too fucking short to take so long to prepare for!!! Especially when you manage to delay said preparation as long as I'm managing to.
Still getting nowhere with this whole "left the university" thing.
tsukikage: (DEATH NOTE - chair spinny!)
Okay, this takes a bit more background to really enjoy than I want to give, but I'm listening to a TESOL podcast and they're talking about some Total Physical Response (think Simon Says) activities for evaluating students' language abilities, and how some activities really would be best for younger students, and then one guy suggested that you could ask high school boys to do things like "Act like a moody adolescent," "Act like I'm something you just scraped off the bottom of your shoe."
I dunno, I laughed. :)
tsukikage: (Hikki - hells yeah!)
* I left the university and she did so her house.
Boo-fuckin'-ya! That bitch is a complement, baby!
*feels stupid for not having thought of using the do-so test until now*

[EDIT: Went over the first draft of my syntax homework once, made said edits and re-printed my homework, now to look over it one more time before I go to bed for a few hours (?, maybe I'll study for bio since I haven't done anything but syntax all week) and worry that I didn't put enough information into my homework.
Sakamoto Maaya needs a bang trim. And is promoting the gay agenda.]
