thoughts after Howl's Moving Castle
Dec. 29th, 2006 09:51 pmJohn Lasseter bugs me. A lot.
But oh well. He did a good job with the movie (Howl's Moving Castle) - I'll give him that.
And speaking of Miyazaki... I'm realizing how in a lot of ways, he's really an absolutely wonderful 20-trick pony, if you know what I mean. One thing I just noticed today is when Sophie was looking at Howl's nearly-monster face towards the end of the movie, it was totally Ashitaka trying to see San's face when she was being eaten by that demon.
I found a copy of the "Boku wa Kuma" PV by Utada Hikaru... Even knowing that it's basically a children's lullaby, it weirds me out.
Thankfully I'm rather tired, but I'm scared I'm going to get a second wind soon. Gotta find some way to prepare myself to go to bed in the next hour or two.
( 「ぼくはくま」の漢字 )
( 'Boku wa Kuma' no ROOMAji )
( translation for 'I'm Bear' )
The English is so strange...
