diaper and marriage bath
Apr. 1st, 2006 11:14 pmI just got back from a wonderful night at my mom's. Not only was Steffen there (he's going home tomorrow :(), but my grandpa (Roger's dad) was too. Allie and Mom both seemed to like their presents (I got mom some lavender/chamomile scented milk bath soak, and I got Allie a GAP gift certificate and a small bottle of lotion). It was really nice to see everyone again. Not to mention, I got to hang out with San-chan a bit at the mall as I was picking up said presents, and she MADE me eat sushi on her - that cruel, cruel girl. So, yeah, I had kappa maki (cucumber rolls) and split a plate of vegetable tempura with her. I also decided that no matter how good the tea that they sell at Teavana is... They don't make it well. One in maybe 5 cups I order comes out well, and maybe 1 in 10 turns out as well as what I get 90% of the time that I order tea at Tea Source. Maybe it's a problem with how busy they are, and they don't have time to control the temperature, etc., properly. Only problem about the whole mall trip... I left my wallet and lanyard (which has my U Card, U Pass, and keys) at Tiger Sushi, but as soon as I realized this I called them and they found it and put it aside for me to pick up tomorrow. Also, I had to check out a spare key, and as it's my third time this year... They're gonna charge $20 to my student account for it. ><;
Also... You know how I've been talking about wanting an arranged marriage? Well, I decided to sign up for those Indian marriage agency websites about a week back... I know it's not really meant for non-Indians (how do I answer what caste I am?), and I know 99.5% of the people are looking for Indian partners, not German-Jewish-American midwesterners, but I decided it wouldn't harm to try, and signing up wouldn't be commiting myself to anything. Well... I got an offer, and I decided to at least meet the guy. He seems nice enough. He's my age and goes to the U (St. Paul campus), he's dabbled a bit in the Japanese language. He also wrote that he wouldn't mind if we got married if I wanted to adopt only. I don't know... It would really make my life so much easier, and I know I could be happy. *bites my lip*
Oh, and I got three cloth diapers (read "NEVER BEEN USED security blanket I place under my head at night) from Steffen and Stephi. YAY!!!! My last one disappeared a couple of years ago, and I haven't had one since. They're not as nice until I wash them a few times, but I'm definitely gonna sleep well tonight. :)
So, I'm too lazy and tired to write any more, so I'm going to go to bed now.
