I was getting really anxious today, and decided that relaxation was more important than not having entries scroll off my friends list, so I closed Firefox and watched episode 1 of the Aa Megami Sama TV series. (Yes, my computer
is that crappy - I can't watch anything but the oldest codecs with Firefox, AIM, RipBar, Semagic or Windows Explorer running. In any case, say goodbye to my resolution to keep up from January 1st (except for entries on my
priority list). In fact, I'm ditching all of my resolutions until January 18th, when Spring semester begins. Will be re-vamping my resolutions as well.
So, since all is relaxed at the moment, I'm finally going to make a real entry. Like, one with
content! Kowai...
YUUUUUUUUUUCK! My Prozac just came up. ><;;; *quickly swallows back down and goes to get some food and water*
Back.
Have had two job interviews lately. One was on Friday the 7th with Starbucks at the U of M (the one on Harvard and Washington). They pay $7.50 an hour (more than I currently get at Papa Murphy's) and they said something about it not being impossible to give me full-time hours (whatever that means). Despite hating coffee, that would be a wonderful job to get. I mean, it's on the U campus! I could easily keep this job throughout my college career! The other was today with
Chico's at the Mall of America. I cannot at all tell you how that went. Babbled, as usual. That would be a stockroom position (yay!), but I didn't find out anything about the hours or the pay. The interviewer said she'd get back to me either way in about a week...
I'm really excited about school starting on Tuesday. My textbooks (when I buy them) will come to $90.35, which isn't bad as textbooks go, but it's gonna be pretty much the entirety of my paycheck. What
really sucks is that I had one of the books (
Syntax by Carnie) last year but lost it on my trip out east, and the other one is the next edition of another book I already bought (
Keys to Effective Learning, 4th edition, by
Carnie edit: Carter). In other words, I almost didn't need to buy books at all. *hisses*
Part of an e-mail I received today:
Dear Nastassja,
In reviewing your Spring 2005 registration, we see that you are currently registered for less than 13 credits. Degree-seeking students who start at the University of Minnesota as of Fall 2002 or later are required to be full time with at least 13 credits. Students taking fewer than 13 credits nevertheless will be charged for the full 13 credits, except for those students who have been granted special permission to be part-time students while seeking their degrees.and then it continues.
NGYAR! Why must I jump through all these hoops?! Plech.
Finally, I think I accidentally stole $5 of gas at SA the other day. Heh. ^^;
Now I'm gonna go read. Jaa!
