[DL] an oxymoron: linguistics syllabus
Feb. 25th, 2003 03:56 pmGrr... For being my currently favorite class, linguistics sure does suck sometimes. What's with them and assigning homework on material which the syllabus says is supposed to be covered the following week? I mean, I know they covered it in the lecture, but some people have more important stuff to do! (Like read their 170 pages of 100 Years of Solitude due the next day... ^^;) But, whatever. I'm meeting Dora (a fellow HP PSEO student in my class) at Bruegger's at 5, and we can go over the material before class starts.
But even after class, I have 70 pages to read for English, two journals (one's allowed to be crap), 3.5 physics labs, a chapter of physics reading... I hate having a bedtime.
So, what am I going to do? Sign off now, go do my ling reading, and then finsih up the English reading at my newly attained 20 pages per hour reading rate (yea! - fyi, my old was 10 pp/hr). Then, break time! Again...
My life sucks.
