I love the smell of a freshly balanced checkbook! *inhales deeply* I need to get a new receipt box. (Two, actually. I want one for "this year", and one for previous years.)
Found the water conditioner - it was in my bathrobe pocket. ^^; *goes to add to the water jug*

Good question. I guess my point is, I don't really do it in the traditional sense. When I had an apartment I wrote one checks month. Now that I'm living with my mom, I write zero checks a month.

I use my check card for virtually everything and get instant access to my account status online. Also I pay all my bills online. I've not felt a need to do any checkbook balancing in years. :-)

See, I rarely write checks (maybe three a month), but even with my check card I often spend about what I make in a month, so I have to be really careful about balancing so I can avoid overdrawing.

I probably should balance it, but I've juest never felt the need. On the other hand, I do have an occassional overdraft.....
