A Year in Review
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Get a job.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't even remember what they were, which probably means no. And yes, I have some very specific resolutions in mind.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not in '04, no.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
*thinks* No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Canadia! I wanna go back...
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A savings account. I had one, but it was eventually closed for having no money in it for too long.
7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
December 13th - my first Barenaked Ladies concert.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Actually completing and turning in job applications that I picked up.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Failing 5 of my 6 classes at the U of M, and receiving a D in the 6th one.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Does major jaw surgery that left me throwing up blood for the first 24 hours after I woke up count?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A paid LJ account.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Patrick's, for putting up with me intentionally trying to make him angry.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My dad's, for specifically telling me not to report highly unsanitary conditions at work.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Damn, I don't know. *takes a look at my register* Fees and anime/manga. Most of these fees were avoidable.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The BnL concert. ^_^
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
*thinks* There are so many songs, and I don't think that in five years I'll associate any of them specifically with 2005 - my memory is too crappy for that.
"One Thing" by Finger Eleven is a good song, though. ^_^
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? More fluctuating?
b) thinner or fatter? About the same.
c) richer or poorer? Richer. Having a job does that.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spending time with my Mom.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sleeping.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Christmas is over, since I saved this for New Year's Eve. Anyways, I spent Christmas Eve sleeping while my family gathered downstairs, and Christmas Day sleeping while Patrick called to make sure I was home before picking me up.
21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Fell in love all over again. ^_^
22. How many one-night stands?
None.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
*thinks* No.
25. What was the best book you read?
Best? *tries to remember* Honestly, I can't. But I thought that Coraline was a wonderful book - could quite possibly have been the best.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Fettes Brot
27. What did you want and get?
Kiki's Delivery Service
28. What did you want and not get?
A loan for my Spring semester tuition.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Shaun of the Dead or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Two very different movies - apples and oranges.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
This year I had my 19th birthday, and Dad, Ann, Patrick and I went on a picnic to Minnehaha Falls.
31.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having quit my job at Blue Nile.

Same as always - simple and clean. (Hee hee. "Simple and Clean".)

My Prozac?
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
*thinks* Dave Matthews is pretty damn hot.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Gay marriage.
36. Who did you miss?
Patrick, 'cuz he's been on a trip to Chicago since... Wednesday? He's coming home today, but for some reason I want to wait to get together with him until tomorrow.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
I've really met so many new people this year, I can't even keep track. Damn LiveJournal... So I won't say.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Let other people decide if they want to be around me.
Yay! Kare Kano 2, 4 and 5 arrived today! *goes to read, despite volume 1 not being here yet*
(Will post my resolutions after I get home from work.)
