[DL] Class Schedule and Fujiya Bath
Dec. 12th, 2003 09:34 amI haven't had that much fun in a LONG while...
Yesterday was the last day of Japanese (not counting the chapter six test and the final oral interview, both of which are on Monday), so afterwards a bunch of people from my recitation session went out to Fujiya. SON-san and RIMU-san, among some others, didn't come. WEN-san only came once I told him I'd pay him $10 to come. Maybe he'll refuse it when I try to give it to him. ^^;
The food was great. I had edamame (boiled and salted soybeans in their pods - thank you, ojii-san!), freshwater eel nigiri, two bowls of a clear fish broth soup whose name I have forgotten, a bowl of sticky (and I mean sticky! =P) rice that someone didn't finish, a piece of cucumber maki, and green tea. (It's amazing how bitter green tea gets when it cools down...) For desert I had green tea tempura ice cream. I LOVE green tea ice cream, and though it was a little strange, I definitely could get used to tempura ice cream.
And then, there was the salmon roe. That stuff is WEIRD. It has an okay taste, but the way it pops in your mouth... (You should have seen RONIDIAA-san when he tried it! "It jizzed (or whatever that word is) on me!" *spits piece of roe onto plate*) It has this not so great after-taste, but that can be remedied by eating something else soon after.
Anyways, it was crazy. I got totally drunk off the night... The nine of us were probably louder than the rest of the people in the restaraunt combined! I know it's sappy, and I know they probably don't feel the same way, but over the past 15 weeks they've gotten to feel like... Well, I felt closer to them than to basically any of my other friends. I don't know why...
I'm going to miss them.
Anyways, got home at 11:30, called Patrick for 15 minutes, went to bed on the couch, moved upstairs at 2:30 in the morning... Had Dad yell at me for trying to "teach him a lesson" that if I'm late, I should not take a shower so I'll be on time. I may have thought about "teaching you a lesson", but I didn't! I really should just take the city bus to school...
Oh, my final (?) schedule for next semester is in:
Jpn 1012 - Beginning Japanese (II) - 6 credits
* lecture: MW, 9:05-9:55 am
* discussion: M-F, 3:35-4:25 pm
Ling 5201 - Syntax I - 3 credits
* lecture: TTh, 9:45-11 am
Phys 1301W - Introductory Physics for Science and Engineering I - 4 credits
* lecture: M-W,F, 12:20-1:10 pm
* lab: W, 1:25-3:20 pm
* discussion: Th, 12:20-1:10 pm
Psy 1001 - Introduction to Psychology - 4 credits
* ONLINE!
I already knew I'd only be able to come to after school activities for only about half an hour, but now that I moved my physics lab time (it had a 10 minute time conflict with linguistics), I won't be able to come to math practice at all on Wednesdays. Garururu...
