18th birthday closing in... (Telling my dad about continuing full-IB closing in... ><;) Where's Peter Pan when you need him, huh?
Dad bought my birthday present with me (a watch) and I told Diana what she could get me, so I'm not gonna be very surprised. Nikko might not be able to come to my birthday. *crosses fingers* Margaret won't, 'cuz we both have our b-days on Saturday (we should plan this stuff out beforehand, ne?).
On the bright side, 128 kbps Japan-a-Radio in the Folwell Hall computer lab. ^_^
I got nominated as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, which is really stressful, 'cuz I have to do all I can to boost my chances of becoming a Finalist, which is unlikely with my 3.84 weighted, 3.23 unweighted G.P.A. and my 78th percentile class standing. And the essay? I only have 500 with which to prove I'm more than my G.P.A. Well, that and my counselor reccomendation, which requires me to write out a fun, 15,000 become Finalists, so it's not that bad of competition, thank goodness. *breathes a sigh of relief* Still, there are only 8,000 $2500 one-time scholarships available. At the very least, becoming a Finalist or Semifinalist could help me with college applications...
What else?... Oh, I have to finish the MAS newsletter tonight. Talk about procrastination, ne? =P Well, it shouldn't be too hard, and they're not expecting the UNDAS newsletter from me. Hopefully I'll be able to prettify it a bit before the October 9th issue (the newsletter is tri-weekly). Yea, translating Engrish!
Well, I should get to my English reading ne?
