Well, prom was yesterday. Too short. To be honest, I feel like it never happened... But it was fun. ^_^

Though prom-goers were allowed to leave school at 10:30 (after 2nd period) with a note, I was going to make it a point of pride to stay for the whole day. I'm glad I changed my mind! ^^; I could have certainly just gotten dressed and did my hair, but mom gave me a manicure and pedicure, and then I took a shower at home, and got my hair washed at Ficoccello's (sp?). No styling. Just a washing. My mom's silly. ^_^ Me and Mom got into a big fight about how to do my hair. She wanted it to be all volumized, but to me it just looked messy. I eventually got (mostly) what I wanted, but that's not something you want to deal with a few hours before leaving for prom...

I thought Patrick was gonna pick me up at 4, but for who knows why (sorry, Pat), he picked me up at 5:15... So, we ran around to my dad's and his mom's (his da was there too) to say hi and take pictures before our 6 o'clock dinner reservation at Kincaid's. I was kinda disappointed, because I was hoping to spend maybe a half hour at each place, rather than five minutes... :( Oh well.

You wanna know the sad thing? Patrick had to explain to me what a corsage was... ^^;

For dinner I had the "Fireworks Tiger Shrimp Cocktail" (mmm... wasabi), boneless prime rib, and... root beer! Bwah hah hah hah!

me <-- is crazy

We got to prom at about 8:15, I'm guessing. There was such a long line... While we were waiting, though, we saw this really cool/weird Humvee "Boss Limo". The strangest thing I've ever seen... There were maybe 10 kids in it. (There'd have to be, considering how much that would cost.)

The rest of the evening was nice, though we only danced to maybe 3 or 4 songs. We met up with Sveta, Charlie, Lizzy, Sarah (? - sorry if I got your name wrong...), Theresa, etc... (Also, sorry if I forgot anyone.) I was hoping the DJ would play a good mix, considering that it's prom, but not much luck. Not horrible though. (They did play that... I forgot. ^^; But they played a couple of good songs.) At first I actually thought they we're playing an R.E.M. song, but it turned out to be Christina Aguilera... (Again, forgot which songs they were.)

Patrick got me to do the Grand March with him, which is where everyone gets in line and walks onto stage, and the DJ announces your names (you hand them to him on a card when you step on stage), and people can see you and take pictures... So embarassing!

We spent a lot of time wandering around barefoot (Patrick not as much, since he had shoelaces - poor thing... =P). We didn't get pictures, since the cheapest package wad $18. Anyways, as I said before, we got pictures taken at my dad's and his mom's, so I'm happy. I just wish mom would've recorded us... It's kinda selfish, but I never get recorded, and on a night like this? In some ways (not all) video captures memories much better than pictures.

You know, I'll write more later. I g2g. (Besides, you're bored enough already! =P)
