Did you know barbers have magic scissors?
Feb. 14th, 2011 12:00 pmMary's kind of annoyed at me for not believing her that professional hairstylists aren't better at trimming split ends than me going through and dusting manually. I mean, they're better at it in that giving hair a proper trim will pretty much guarantee that I don't miss any split ends, and goodness knows I'd never trust myself to give myself an overall styling cut, but as long as I'm accepting that I'm not "styling" my hair and that I'll miss some hairs... Cutting a split end is cutting a split end; there's not a "professional technique" to be had. That said, I'm kind of thinking of getting a once-in-a-blue-moon evening-out trim sometime in the next 1-1.5 months, but again that's a style issue, not a split end issue (other than that it'll naturally take care of said split ends).
Anyways, yeah. My scissors are just as good as theirs.
