Wow, that letter has certainly gotten some mileage. I hope the woman that wrote it realizes how much it's spread. (I can't even remember when I first saw it.)

I guess I live under a rock. This is the first time I've seen it. Speaking of rocks, it does indeed.

You know, while I understand what she's going through (and I don't think she should have to go through that as a mother), I also understand the flip side of it. Here's a bit of a moderate religious perspective on the whole thing.

Is the act of homosexuality morally wrong? Yes. Does that make the people who do it any less of a person than you and I? No. We're supposed to forgive everyone their faults, not condemn them. Judgment is not our responsibility, it's God's. That having been said, I think anyone can look at some of my entries and see where I stand on the political spectrum regarding homosexuality and same-sex marriage.

All that nice stuff having been said, I just want to state the following:

The part of me that likes inciting riot wants to make an inflammatory and bigoted remark, just to get people riled up.

Beautiful. That woman's eloquent words mirrored most of my feelings on the issue of homosexuality. I think I've read that before a while back, but it's still very moving to me.

I don't believe that homosexuality is morally wrong, and I hope that more people begin to feel that way as the issue becomes more and more visible.
