Why shouldn't they? Otherwise healthy infants do die, of SIDS or of accidents.

Well, I was originally under the impression that an otherwise healthy person could only die from a the bursting of plaque deposits that build up during a person's lifetime, and a healthy infant simply wouldn't have any plaque deposits left.
