Okay, here's what happened.
A number of people have been pointing out how the number of people, feeds, and communities I have on my friends' list is insane. I decided that maybe they were right, and that I should trim my friends' list.
Why did I remove "my" Tribers? Because you're not my Triber's anymore. Or rather, I'm not one of your Tribers anymore. Ever since I resigned, I've felt like I've been... I don't know.I guess I felt that it was improper for me to remain friends with you guys. I thought that de-friending you would be a good way to forget about you guys and move on.
Maybe I do need to move on, but Sal helped me to realize that what's improper is to assume that because I don't pretend I'm Jack anymore you guys aren't important to me, or that I'm not important to you.

I may eventually un-friend some of you, but never out of some feeling of obligation. And if/when I do, I will be open about it.

Thank you. I'm sorry you feel that we would only be your friend if you stayed with us. Some may feel that way, but I have quite a few good friends whom I met through the game and continue to keep up with in LJ because they are friends, through and through. I hate to think anyone feels obligated to add someone just because they've become a character in the Mall. I add new people because I like to get to know them as people, they're more than just some random character to me.

I'm not going to readd you right now, I have removed you from my style and such and I'm feeling lazy and maybe still slightly hurt, but it's better. I do want to know how you are, and I do still want to be friends, and yes, I do care about you. I'm sorry for all of the drama, but you know me, when friends are hurting I go defensive and protective, and frankly I love you too much to just not care. *HUG*

OK, intrigued I went to your userinfo...

What are people talking about? You have under 100 friends. If you can keep up, then who cares? Besides that's no where near insane. I heard that panelist at the LJ panel at DragonCon mentioned she ran out of friend slots and had to start another journal to be able to keep friending people. You get cut off at 750. Now THAT is insane!!!

You're under a hundred, don't worry about it. In fact one gal said that the way she sees it, she's fine as long as she stays under 100.

:)

The thing is, I don't keep up. Each time I make an entry with the subject "bookmark", or something like it, that's me giving up and deciding to start keeping up again from said post.

ROFL... put them into filters. Then you can read certain filters at different times to help you keep up better. :) So put like personal friends into one, family into one, school people into one, whatever you need to do to break it up. Then save bookmarks to each filtered friends page in your favourites folder in your web browser of choice. :)
